Representatives of the IT Education Association held a meaningful meeting with Riga TechGirls, Latvia’s first and largest community dedicated to empowering women through digital skills and technology education.

Riga TechGirls shared their experience in driving women’s participation in STEM, including their mentorship programs, workshops, and initiatives that support career transition into tech. We, in turn, presented the rapid development of Uzbekistan’s IT sector, the growing opportunities in tech education for girls, and the mission of IT Ladies Uzbekistan — a community that brings together ambitious young women pursuing careers in technology.

🔹 During the discussion, we explored: • the current landscape of STEM education for girls in Uzbekistan; • national digital initiatives and learning pathways; • Riga TechGirls’ best practices and expertise; • potential collaboration opportunities; • joint ideas for knowledge exchange and international growth.

Our guests from Latvia expressed strong interest and appreciation for the supportive ecosystem developing in Uzbekistan for girls and women in IT.

Such international partnerships help broaden horizons, inspire ambition, and create new pathways for talented young women in the global tech community.
